    Celebrating this Holiday Season with Emerging Local College Student Talent
    Join the Entertainment at Harbor Community College’s Featured Big Band Special Holiday Celebration Performance with standard favorites and originals
    WILMINGTON/HARBOR CITY, Cali., December 6, 2017/PRNewswire/ — Startup Big Band is proud to present the final Fall Recital Performance at no charge for the enjoyment of local residents, friends and associates or professionals interesting in witnessing the budding talent being groomed through a specially designed program involving current and veteran students at Los Angeles Harbor College (lahc). The Big Band has been established as a unique unmatched program by instructor(s), experts in their field for training young talent as well as providing a venue for veteran experienced musicians.
    Enjoy the fruits of the latest repertoire developed by the team that has formed our current list of standards and freshly written tunes by some of the best talent in our community on Thursday, December 7th at 7pm in the Music Building Recital Hall, Rm. 101 to celebrate Holiday cheer for this fall semester, 2017. [Music Building ½ way down L Street, left side going West past 1111 Figueroa Place – Parking to the right. The event will be hosted by Professor Wagner Trindade, who has been a teacher, performer and writer in music 15 years in both the U.S. and Brazil with a passion for youth outreach and has performed for over a dozen professional artists as a jazz electric Bass Player. He also formed the professional jazz trio, Dieloto Brasileiro. The afternoon will be open to the public at large to meet and mingle with our protegees who are looking forward to sharing the progress they have made this semester. These are our advanced accomplished students we are proud to present to the community for the communities’ enjoyment by audience participation.

    About the Harbor Community College Music Program:

    Our mission is to prepare our students with pre-four-year college degrees and college credits transferable to advanced colleges and trade schools where they can earn advanced degrees and take advantage of special input from our accessible close-knit professional instruction staff who take a special personal interest in all of their students enrolling in the program. Our goal is to disseminate the necessary knowledge and help develop top notch musicianship skills to qualify our students for higher education, commercial employment or entrepreneurship and to multiply connections among entrepreneurs and mentors so that we may build a more informed and vigorously active involved community.
