A $25,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the shooting of a mother and son killed in their driveway last week in Carson.
Jordan Love, 27, and Michele Kelly-Love, 54, were shot just before midnight Saturday as they sat in a car in the 19500 block of Tillman Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
“This pain is really deep. It’s unimaginable but I’m bearing it,” said Jose Love, Jordan Love’s father, at a vigil honoring the victims Thursday.
The Loves were returning from a day with family when they were shot to death in their car just outside a family residence. Michelle Kelly-Love died in the vehicle. Her son got out of the car and made it to the lawn, where he collapsed and died. Jordan Love’s grandmother, who was in the back seat, was not harmed.
Jose Love said he ran outside to find his son lying in his driveway and his ex-wife shot to death with her hands still on the steering wheel.
More than a dozen relatives joined a news conference Friday at the Carson City Hall where city officials and the sheriff’s department announced a reward to find the victims’ killer.
